I am inspired by both the soft flowing lines of the natural world and also the sharp angular lines of geometry, particularly in architecture.  My latest body of work encapsulates both of these directions with the architectural style of the blocks represented in one series of work, whilst the alternative pieces, although still angular in part, more gently represent the softer side of the natural world.

 

The techniques used are hand dyed fabrics, painted and printed backgrounds, appliqué, machine and hand stitching.
